Rock the Vote
In 1990, music executives founded Rock the Vote in response to the censorship of hip-hop and rap artists. Our first partnership, with MTV, promoted the message that “Censorship is Un-American” and activated millions of young people across the country to exercise their rights and represent their interests. For thirty years, we have continuously adapted to the changing landscapes of media, technology and culture to breakthrough and empower each new generation.
Voting Rights Brigade
Voting Rights Brigade is a non-profit organization advocating for an end to voter suppression and disenfranchisement. The 2016 Election witnessed a powerful trifecta of electoral forces which combined to disenfranchise millions of American voters and deny their rightful representation in government. The Voting Rights Brigade is here to advocate an end to such structural deficiencies in our electoral process.
Launched by the League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) in October of 2006, VOTE411.org is a "one-stop-shop" for election related information. It provides nonpartisan information to the public with both general and state-specific information on the election process. The League of Women Voters has fought since 1920 to improve U.S. systems of government and impact public policies through education and advocacy.
